It’s almost Christmas! Cooper is getting excited. He’s up to 21 on his Advent calendar so he knows it’s going to be the big day soon!
So we have an Elf on the Shelf. Every night it “leaves” to go visit Santa in the North Pole to tell him how Cooper has been behaving. And in the morning, he returns to your house. But he’s supposed to be in a different spot each day – so you know that he actually left over night. This morning he was laying in bed with us and was watching a cartoon (while I tried to get 15 more minutes of sleep). He said “mom, I have a very important question. Why didn’t the elf move last night?” My brilliant mom answer “because the sun isn’t up yet and the elf doesn’t move to his new magic spot until the sun comes up.” I managed to convince him to come downstairs with me to make his breakfast while Kirk relocated the elf. Crisis averted.
Cooper’s had his holiday party at school. The kids sang songs for the parents and ate lots and lots of Christmas cookies.
We also celebrated Kirk’s birthday!
