Says: “Mommy, sometimes I don’t know how to make the speaker in my mouth turn off.”
“Whoa, that guy has a big cowboy hat. And where is his horse?”
I asked Cooper to go out to the front porch and grab the package that came that day. HE couldn’t find it so I went out to look to see if I could find it. Once we found it, he said “I couldn’t even see the box. It was hiding. It is sneaky.”
He was playing in the sand box the other day and I was playing with him. He said “You don’t know what to do on my construction meetings. You need to do the right things. Not the wrong things. If you do the wrong things you can’t come back to my meeting tomorrow.”
Cooper was stung by a wasp the other day. He was telling me about it and said “the wasp touched me and the other wasp told him that’s not nice but he touched me anyway. And that wasn’t nice.”
The other day he woke up in the morning with a totally dry diaper. He said “I’m just practicing staying dry overnight.”
I don’t remember what I did but it was something small like sitting on his stuffed animal or something, but he said “don’t be rude to your little boy, ok?”
Does: Well I think we can call Cooper officially potty trained. He still uses a pull-up/diaper while he’s sleeping, but during the day he is so great! He hates using public toilets though so that’s always a struggle.
And he is staring preschool after Labor Day. I’m really excited for him because I think he’s going to love it – but of course it’s scary and sad too. But he’s going to do great!
