Says: This week while eating dinner, Cooper said “I like honey on my chicken. It makes it taste more chickeney.”
After he drank some sparkling water from a bottle: “Close it. I don’t want the bubbles to run away.”
While we were looking at the super moon eclipse, Cooper said “We need to get a really special jet.” I asked him why and he said “To fly to the moon.” ”
Does: Cooper loves helping in the yard. We were playing outside, and as soon as Kirk started up the lawn mower Cooper jumped up and yelled “I need to go help daddy. Daddy needs my help!“
Likes and Dislikes: Cooper loves all his helicopters, planes and trucks. It makes me smile to see how he lines them up (even if he destroys it all a minute later).
Milestones: This week Cooper went to the dentist for the first time. We had been reading books all about what to expect to try and prepare him. I was sure he would hate it and freak out, but he did great! We chose a great pediatric dentist and from the first moment we walked in, they made Cooper feel comfortable. Usually the first visit, they just try to get a look at the teeth and put some flouride on them. But Cooper let them clean and polish his teeth, and floss them. He was so excited to get a small toothpaste to take home and a new toothbrush. After the appointment, the dentist gave him a coin to use in the little toy vending machine in the waiting room. Cooper picked out a little bouncy ball. I showed him all the other toys he could get and he said “next time mommy. I only get one toy this time.” At home, he lined up all the things he got in his tooth care bag and made a “gate.”
