Does: We have been working on potty training more and more. We are doing the M&M method – where he gets an M&M after he uses the toilet. We are no where close to being potty trained, but we are getting him excited about using the toilet!
He is also loving checking out all the smoke alarms and making sure the lights are working.
He has also really been loving painting in the bath tub. We got him some bathtub paints, and he paints all sorts of things on the wall. He likes to paint “family” versions of things. He will paint a mommy star, daddy star, and Cooper star.
Says: “Mommy, you get an M&M” after seeing me on the toilet.
He got some new underwear. He said “mommy open up my underwear so I can check and make sure they are ok.” And then after I opened them and showed them to him he said “Oh stripes. I like them. Oh trucks. I like them also.”
The other day Cooper was playing by himself and he came up to me and said “Hey, I’m bored, want to hang out?” I couldn’t figure out where he got it from and then I was reading him stories one night. We read a book called Goodnight Already about a duck bothering a bear while the bear is trying to sleep. One of the lines the duck says is “Hey, I’m bored, wanna hang out?” Too funny.
The other day I wore some high heels to work, and Cooper said “Mommy, I don’t like your shoes. Take them off.”
The other day he was trying to tell my parents something that he wanted. They pulled out something, and he said that wasn’t it. So they pulled something else out, and he said “That’s what I’m talking about!”
Activities: This weekend we went to Lollipop Park which is always a hit.
We also went to breakfast on Sunday morning. While we were waiting for our table, Cooper and I went to check out some construction equipment at the construction site next door. He is still in love with all his construction trucks!
We also went to go watch the planes take off at our local airport. Cooper loved waving to the pilots and would love it if they “waved” their wings back.
