Sleeps: What a challenging week. For the past year or so, Cooper has been a great sleeper/napper. We put him in his crib and he doesn’t complain and just stays there and talks himself to sleep. If he did get out of his crib, it was to grab another stuffed animal and he would go right back in. Well the past week or two, this has all changed. He gets out of his crib about 100 times before he’s settled. He procrastinates bedtime like no other, always wants something else. Bedtime has turned into a challenge and it isn’t fun. Maybe it’s time to move him to a big bed, but I don’t know if that will really help. He doesn’t seem to have any issues at my parent’s house or at daycare, but at those places he’s in a pack n’ play so it’s not as easy to get out of.
Says: While pretending to make coffee in his bathtub, he hands me a cup and says “Here’s some coffee mommy.” I said thank you and took a sip and told him it was delicious. He laughed and said “That’s not coffee. Only coffee is at Starbucks. This is not Starbucks.”
On his way to my parent’s house the other morning, he was drinking some milk and ran out. He said “babcia will help the cow get me milk.”
When we were trying to teach him his name the other day, he said “I’m not a Taylor. I’m a boy.”
There is a furniture store here that has all these wild animals on their delivery trucks. Cooper saw one the other day and said “Oh, a tiger truck! There are tigers in there.”
While at the park swinging, he said “Mommy, I need to go higher.” So I pushed him higher and he said “There we go.”
We are getting ready for our trip to Canada. I asked him what he wanted me to pack in his suitcase. He said “Popsicles.” I asked him what else he wanted and he said “and one Popsicle for mommy and one for daddy.”
Does: He is really into his pretend play lately. He pretends he’s a dinosaur. He pretends he’s riding in a garbage truck. He makes himself little forts and gates and pretends whatever. It’s fun to watch his mind work and think of games.
