Cooper and I just got back from a great trip to Mexico with babcia and dziadek. Kirk had to stay at home and work and had rainy weather all week.
On the way down, Cooper was so excited to fly on the plan. He got to sit in the cockpit right before take off. The pilots signed Cooper’s flying book. He was a pro on the plane!
We had beautiful weather the entire time. After the first day, a bunch of seaweed started to be washed up on shore. There was so much seaweed. The first few days, the hotels had maintenance people trying to clean it up. Even the guests helped out! But after that, it just wasn’t going fast enough so they rented some equipment and cleaned everything up. Even with the help of the backhoe, it still took days to clean it all up. But Cooper did love watching the backhoe work!
Cooper woke up the first day and said “mommy, I want to go to the beach right now. Get my swim diaper.” He had so much fun on the beach and in the ocean the first day.
After the first day, though, he just wasn’t feeling the beach or the pool. I don’t know if it was the heat, the sand, the wind, or something else. But he didn’t really want to spend too much time on the beach or the pool.
He liked looking at the iguanas and coati around the grounds of the hotel.
Relaxing by the beach with coffee at the end of the day.
Not a great picture – but he looks like such a big boy here!
No time for a spoon with his ice cream.
Cooper loved dancing after dinner at the Mini Disco.
Some pretty photos from the week.
Before we went home, Cooper had to pick up some stuff from the duty free store.
See you soon Mexico!
And just like last year, a snow storm was waiting for us when we got back home. May in Colorado – you never know what you are going to get.
