Health: Ugh. This kid is so prone to any stomach bug out there! He had another one on Sunday, but luckily this one passed really quickly. Unluckily, we got it too.
Says: Kirk was buying some lotto tickets and asked me how old I was. I would say shame on Kirk for not knowing, but I have to think about it for a second too. Anyway, Cooper’s answer to the question was “Cooper be three soon.” He just hates that number two! Whenever you ask him how many of anything he wants, he always says “one” or “three.”
He also has been saying “probably” a lot. “Daddy probably go to work later.” “Cooper probably have candy later.”
He also narrates everything he sees. We will be out and he will see a dog and he will day “mommy, doggie walking fast” or whatever else he sees. He still refers to himself mostly as “Cooper,” but he will sometimes say “me.” He is pretty good about using me versus you, which I can imagine con be confusing for a kid – that he has to call himself “me” but I call him “you.” He has a mind like a sponge and will remember all sorts of events, even from months ago! This is always surprising to me when he talks about something that happened a while ago.
Likes and Dislikes: Loves playing at Ikea! He loves walking around all the rooms and checking what’s in every cabinet and then having you sit down while he makes you coffee. Quite the little host he is 🙂
Social and Activity: We went to Monkey Bizness this weekend to jump around, but he just wasn’t feeling it. Of course that’s because he was coming down with his stomach bug, but it didn’t hit until later that day.
Milestones: He has been showing more and more interest in using the toilet! He wanted to put on underwear instead of diapers this weekend and walked around for about 30 minutes like that before bath. He will sit on the potty, but hasn’t gone in it yet. But he is definitely starting to show more signs of wanting to be potty trained.
Weekly Random Moments: Kirk and I had a date night on Friday night – dinner and drinks. We ended up having drinks at a new bar called “Cooper Lounge.” It ended up being a cool place (and we randomly ran into some of our best friends), but we would have loved it just because of the name!
