Sleeps: Kirk has been building forts over Cooper’s crib most nights before bed. Some nights Cooper will keep them up all night and is so surprised in the morning. Other days he pulls them down right away and wants them rebuilt.
Eats: Cooper is really learning to use his fork/spoon really well. He also really loves having his knife with him during dinner and loves to pretend to cut his food. He’s still really messy most days, but we are working on the no throwing food part. Lots of nights, he will hand us his dinner once he’s done. But as soon as he’s done, he’s done, and he doesn’t want to look at it or doesn’t want you to try and feed him one extra bite.
Says: He is really starting to express himself and says the most hilarious things. It constantly amazes me what he picks up and what he says. The other day we were playing in his room and he lined up all his car books like this. I asked him what he was doing. He said “Store mommy. Parking cars.”
Does: He has really been into pretending the change his stuffed animals diapers. He will lay out a changing blanket, and then take a wipe and wipe their butts, and then try to put the diaper on. He will change a few diapers in a row, and then will hand us the old ones saying “Stinky poop. Trash please.” He has learned to say “I love you” which is just the cutest thing. He will usually only say it when we say it – but there has been once or twice that he has just said it.
Likes and Dislikes: He is becoming a mama’s boy and really hates when I leave. He wants me to do bath AND stories at night, and doesn’t want Kirk to do them.
Social and Activity: This weekend we went to a few parks, and then to a big indoor play area. They had HUGE slides (this one was about 30 feet tall) and trampolines to jump on. Cooper LOVED the trampolines.
Weekly Random Moments: My parent’s came back from their fantastic vacation. They had a great time – except that my mom broke her hand on the last day in Fiji. Hopefully she has a speedy recovery. Cooper was so excited the few days before they came home and kept saying “babcia dziadzia vacation soon.” I was expecting him to be super excited when he saw them, but he was just acted normal like they had never left.
And we have gotten a few small dustings of snow this week. One day, the sun was out and it started to snow. I thought it looked so cool so I took a few pictures. I told Cooper to stand while I took the pictures, and he just go so serious and stood there.
