Stats: 26 lbs 6 oz. I need to see how tall he is!
Health: Just a little bit of a runny nose – but that’s going to be pretty standard for the winter. And his face is dry and red a lot, so we try to do our best to keep it moisturized.
Does: Cooper is definitely testing his boundaries more and more each day. He knows things that he isn’t supposed to do, and he will look at you when he does them and kind of smirk to see what reaction he gets. He gets put in time out when he does something we tell him not too – and he is really good about sitting in the time-out chair and will come say sorry to you when his minute is up. He can be naughty and likes to push limits, but he is also a really sweet boy and loves to give hugs and kisses. He is so good about saying please and will say “please” whenever he wants something. He is not as good about saying “thank you” but will say it if we ask.
He is so good about helping and always wants to help you do whatever you are doing. One day I was taking my boots upstairs to put away in my closet, and he was so upset that I was doing it and grabbed the boots and put them away for me. He also likes to help me cook. We were getting ready to eat one day, and Kirk asked Cooper who made dinner and Cooper was so proud and said “Cooper do!”
Likes and Dislikes: Trucks of all kinds – especially trash trucks.
Social and Activity: While my parents are on vacation, Cooper has been having a ton of fun at daycare. I thought all the extra time might really overwhelm him, but he has been doing great. There is only one day that he didn’t really want to be dropped off. Other than that, he just runs up to the door and knocks and is so excited to play with all his friends. The day that I did get to stay home with him, we went to tumbling and it was so fun to see him with the other kids. He definitely has much more energy than most of the kids in his class (everyone else in the class is a girl, except for one boy), but is also very nice to the kids (most of the time). He is a good sharer and will always give other kids the toys that he is playing with.
Milestones: I think the right side molars are coming in so he has almost all his baby teeth!
Weekly Random Moments: This week I had to travel for work. Luckily I was able to miss some really cold (0 degrees Fahrenheit) in Colorado and go to warm sunny California. But I sure did miss Kirk and Cooper!
