Says: Wow – he is learning and saying more and more each day! His sentences are getting longer and longer. We will also say please whenever he wants something without us having to ask him too. Yesterday at the store he said “mommy, open this please.” I think my list of words that he knows is just over 300. Some of them are really clear and his pronunciation is fantastic (like fire truck or dancing) and then others take a little bit of translation (like music or mouthwash). He still has trouble with his “c” sound.
He does this funny thing when he wants something. He will tell you what he wants, like “more copters mommy!” and then when you say “would you like to see more helicopters?” he will say “ohhhh” like he wasn’t even thinking of that but what a great idea you had! It’s hard to explain, but I think it’s so cute.
Does: Cooper is really starting to do a lot of pretend play. He loves taking his small trash bins and dumping them into his trash truck. He loves to “cook” and feed his stuffed animals. When we were at Ikea the other day, he loved playing with the play kitchen. He also wanted to go around to each room display and pour coffee and take turns drinking it with me. It is so fun to see his imagination grow!
I am pretty sure he is left handed. He pretty much draws only with his left hand. And, although he can use his spoon and fork with either hand, he is definitely much more coordinated with his left hand. I guess it’s no surprise since Kirk and I are both left handed!
He knows the name of a few stores (Costco, IKEA, Home Depot, Target) but the grocery store is just “store” or “horsies” since he gets to ride the horses there. If you ask him where he wants to go, he will usually say “park.”
Likes and Dislikes: Cooper loves any and all construction trucks. He loves looking at the construction site we drive my on the way to day care. He usually sees a bulldozer and a crane and will say “Mommy more dozer please!” He hates swimming classes, but loves playing in the water. He loves building forts and playing on our bed.
Weekly Random Moments: We are getting our first real snow of the season. His face when he saw it for the first time was just so cute. “Oh – mommy ice!” I’m sure he would love to play in it. Too bad it’s just too cold for that! Today it’s -1 degrees F. BRRRRRRRRR.
