Health: Just a little bit of a runny/stuffy nose and cough – but he’s not acting sick.
Sleeps: Perfect, except the one day he skipped his nap and was super over-tired by the time it was time for bed.
Eats: Someone discovered he really loves candy after Halloween. He has been making a mess at the end of meals though. When he’s all done eating, he just throws everything on the floor instead of just telling us he’s all done and having us clean it up. So we are working on that.
Says: Lots and lots of 2 or 3 word sentences. Everything is “mommy this” or “daddy that” or “cooper do.” He talks a lot and is really great at letting us know what he wants.
Does: He has started to become very possessive of his things. There is a lot of “mine” going on. He also sometimes wants to bring various toys to day care and complains without them.
Likes and Dislikes: He loves his picture books and is so good at pointing out different cars and trucks. He knows different sounds for different trucks too. He loves videos of helicopters, flamingos, and loves Elmo and Abby (from Sesame Street). He loves throwing things everywhere and making messes, but also is pretty good at putting things back and recognizes things have a place. He loves building forts and loves reading his books in them. He hates anything related to cleaning/blowing his nose.
Social and Activity: This week we started swimming lessons!!! I signed him up for the swimming classes just to get him more comfortable in the water before Mexico. Cooper loved playing in the water but hated the actual lessons. He didn’t really want to float during class or put his head under water, but afterwards he was blowing bubbles under the water and splashing and just had no fear. I guess I know that he is comfortable and has fun, so that’s the most important thing!
Weekly Random Moments: His weekend babcia and dziadek left for Fiji, Australia, and New Zealand for three weeks. So during the days, either Kirk or I will stay home with Cooper, or he will go to a few extra days of day care. I love how flexible the new day care lady is with her schedule!
