I know I have said it before, but I’ll say it again. Cooper’s is such a great talker and his vocabulary is just exploding. Other people always comment on how well he speaks and how many words he knows. Maybe he’s average – but I think he’s a super genius :-). I have counted well over 100 words that he knows – but I am sure I am forgetting so many. It’s great that he can communicate so well – and can let us know what he wants a lot of the time, which is helpful.
Cooper is loving books and will sit through a couple of stories most nights. We often have to pause so he can kiss the book when he sees something he likes. His favorite book these days is “Go Dog, Go” which isn’t too surprising considering how much he loves dogs/puppies. I like that it helps teach him about up/down, over/under, stop/go, etc. He has also been enjoying Curious George stories and will request “monkey mess” since that Curious George is always getting into some kind of mess!
He loves animals of any kind. There are a few horses that live in a nearby neighborhood, so we have taken him there a few times to he can look at them and pet them and even feed them a little grass. He knows a few animal sounds (dog, cat, cow, bird, horse, pig).
I’m trying to teach him colors, but so far he thinks everything is purple.
Cooper loves messes (making them and playing in them) but he also likes cleaning them up. He wants to vacuum multiple times a day. He has been loving the sandbox at our playground so I try to take him right before bath so that I don’t have to worry about sand getting everywhere.
He also loves trucks, buses, tractors and any other big car.
