Stats: 23 lbs 1 oz. Big weight gain this week!! I’m happy about that. He’s been eating everything in site though – so I’m not surprised.
Health: Just a pretty bad diaper rash this week (which he’s hasn’t had in forever). It maybe due to the teething. Who knows.
Sleeps: Sleep has been good this week. He’s back to his same – just getting up once around 4:30 or so. He has been sleeping in later – instead of 6:30 he’s been getting up around 7 or 7:30.
Eats: This kid eats everything in site!! It’s great that he’s such a good eater!! A typical day with us looks like (he’s eats a wide variety of things when he’s at daycare or with babcia and dziadek but I’ll just list what a typical day at home looks like):
- Breakfast: 1 whole banana, some cereal, and some other fruit (orange or berries)
- Lunch: A baby food pouch of veggies, and then he will feed himself some pasta and meat. He will eat about a cup of pasta!! The kid especially loves beef ravioli with a little bit of parmesan cheese. I’ll give him some veggies to snack on too – but he may or may not eat them depending on his mood. Some fruit (usually an orange or some berries) for dessert.
- Afternoon snack: A banana and some crackers
- Dinner: Another baby food pouch of veggies and then feed himself whatever was leftover from our dinner the night before. More fruit for dessert. And then an animal cracker or two because he loves them 🙂
Says: Most of the words Cooper says start with a “B” – so it’s hard to tell the difference! He says “ba” which stands for bottle, ball, balloon, belly button, or just a regular button (like on a shirt). He says “ma” for mom and “na” for no.
Does: Cooper’s favorite game this week is to point out your belly button!! And he laughs hysterically whenever he burps or farts, especially if he farts in the bathtub and makes bubbles.
Social and Activity: This weekend Kirk had to work all weekend – so Cooper and I had lots of fun together. We went to the indoor play gym again – and he met Minnie Mouse. I was actually surprised by how much he loved her. I figured he might be scared of a character like that. But he ran up to her multiple times and cried when she left. He actually tried to push kids out of the way to get to her, so we had a nice little lesson on waiting your turn.
Weekly Random Moments: Kirk was traveling for work on Tuesday – and look who he ran into at the airport on his way home!!! Trista and Ryan from “The Bachelorette.” For anyone who doesn’t know – I don’t really watch much TV. I spend most of my free time reading (I have read 29 book so far this year!!). But The Bachelor/The Bachelorette is the one TV show I do watch when it’s on. I guess I have a soft spot for trashy reality TV 🙂 So Kirk knew I would be so excited and he asked them for a picture. He said they were very nice.
