Here are some shots from his 12 month shoot. I am out of the stickers – so no more monthly shoots. I guess that’s not a bad thing because it’s really hard to get him to sit still long enough to do them. And he likes to rip the sticker off his chest.
Stats: Still hovering around 21 lbs.
His official stats from the pediatrician’s appointment:
- Weight: 20 lbs. 14 oz. (30th percentile)
- Height: 30.25 inches (70th percentile)
- Head Size: 45.8 cm (30th percentile)
Health: Just a little bit of a runny nose – but that’s just part of being a kid in winter. He did get a big bump on his head this week – as you can see on most of the photos.
Sleeps: We are back on track!!! He’s only been getting up once a night around 4 or 4:30 and then will sleep until about 6:30 or 7am. It’s been wonderful. Of course I would love for him to totally sleep through the night – but that will come. At least this once a night is so much better than a couple weeks ago. He’s doing one nap during the day. It’s usually about 2 hours and is around lunchtime.
Eats: Anything and everything. Cooper is a pretty good eater and will try most anything that you put in front of him. His favorites are applesauce and bananas. He can eat a whole banana in one sitting and would probably eat 5 a day if you would let him.
We is also trying to use a fork and spoon. He likes sticking his spoon in the bowl or trying to get some food on his fork – but still doesn’t quite know how to do it.
Says: So far I think his only words that are more than just actual babble are mama, dada, and baba (could be babcia, could be bottle, could be both). He does know the sign for “all done” and will usually do it at the end of a meal.
Likes and Dislikes: Likes putting things in and on top of other things, and opening and closing cabinets. The other night he would open a cabinet, take a book out, close the cabinet, open it again, put the book back in, then close it. And he repeated this for 10-15 minutes. He also loves walking around every where – and always has to carry something in each hand.
He hates getting his diaper changed, and is actually starting to not like bath time. And he’s doing pretty well in his car seat! He will go about 15 minutes before he starts complaining. But he’s so smart – as soon as I turn the car off he knows it’s time to come out and will start to complain.
Social and Activity: He had his first birthday party and had lots of fun playing with all the kiddos!
And this weekend was really beautiful so Cooper and I spent lots of time outside. Kirk spent a lot of time in bed and on the couch fighting his cold.
Milestones: Walking everywhere – he’s getting so good at walking!!
