Weight: 21 lbs 0 oz. The bad news is that Cooper lost come weight last week because he was sick and didn’t want to eat. The good news is that he’s been gaining it back the last couple of days!
Clothes: Mostly 12 month tops and pants. Size 4 diapers.
Health: Well last week I spoke too soon. I thought his stomach bug was just a Tuesday night thing. But he threw up a few times on Wednesday too. And then he just wasn’t feeling all that great for a few days. He would barely eat anything (just a bit or two here and there). Luckily the past day or so he’s been eating much better. And then my mom and I got sick with the same stomach bug on Friday. Kirk and my dad never got as sick as Cooper, my mom and I – but they still weren’t feeling all that great.
Sleep: Last week I mentioned that Cooper was getting up way too frequently at night. And then he got sick and I felt so bad because he wasn’t eating all day – so I would go in at night to feed him whenever he woke up. Soon he would be waking up every 1.5 to 2 hours at night – ugh!! Worse than his newborn days!!! So on Saturday we bit the bullet and started some sleep training again. Saturday night was rough. Sunday night was a little better. And then each night since then has been getting better and better!!! We are down to only one wake-up per night. Maybe we can even get rid of that in the coming weeks!!
Crying: Poor Cooper – this week was not so easy for him. Between being sick and then the sleep training, he was tired and cranky and just not feeling great.
Social and Activity: Not much activity this week – just pretty low key while everyone was recovering from being sick.
Likes and Dislikes: Cooper loves opening and closing doors, putting things in other things and stacking things on top of each other (he recently stacked three blocks on top of each other!!). He loves rolling around in pillows and blankets – he will pull the pillows and blankets off the couch and roll around in them.
He also wants to do whatever you are doing and loves to try and help. He will help you brush your teeth, sort laundry, cook dinner – you name it. Of course his help isn’t really help at this point – but that doesn’t matter 🙂
Diet: Like I mentioned above, he just didn’t want to eat anything all week. He just wanted to drink a few ounces of milk every couple of hours. His poor tummy was bothering him most of the week.
Milestones: He is doing so good at walking – he’s walking all over the place. He’s trying to become more and more independent. He definitely knows what he wants and points and complains until he gets it. I can’t believe he’s going to be 1 year old tomorrow!!!!
