Cooper is 9 months old today!!
It’s hard getting non-blurry shots of him these days since he’s always moving around!
Weight: 19 lbs 8 oz – no real change since last week. We have his 9 month appointment on Thursday so I’ll have official stats and percentages next week.
Clothes: Mostly 12 month clothes with size 4 diapers.
Health: Just a little bit of a runny nose here and there – but I think it’s mostly allergies.
Sleep: He’s doing so much better at night. We started doing some sleep training on Friday night – and so far things are going really well. Hopefully this continues! Bath time starts around 6:45, and he still goes to sleep right around 7:30pm. Instead of getting up at 11pm, 2am, and 5am, he has been just getting up around 4:30am. He eats and goes back to sleep. Eventually I’m sure we will drop the 4:30am feeding – but for now I am loving going from 3 feedings at night to only 1!
Crying: He had a really fussy day yesterday – so I think his teeth might be bothering him again.
Social and Activity: We went to the pumpkin festival over the weekend.
Likes and Dislikes: He likes being outside and going for walks. He likes toys that make sounds or play music. He loves when the telephone rings and likes talking into the phone.
Bath time is a hit or miss for him. He really likes being in the water – but still wants to sit in his chair and doesn’t like being in the big tub. Since he is more active these days – he will move around and sometimes almost tip the chair over. When this happens, he gets really scared. I did get him a blow up tub to put in the big tub so he wouldn’t feel so overwhelmed (another garage sale find!). The tub is in the shape of a duck, and he loves playing with it but doesn’t really like sitting in it.
He doesn’t like crawling. He will do it – but usually won’t go too far without complaining. I think he really just wants to walk.
Diet: Cooper tasted chocolate this weekend!! But he wasn’t really a fan. He obviously doesn’t take after me in that aspect. He still loves any juicy fruits (like mangos or peaches). He doesn’t really like carrots – but will eat them when they are mixed with something. He isn’t a big fan of meat. He still loves his beets and cauliflower though!
Milestones: He is getting really good at cruising around while he’s leaning against a table or a couch. I bet it won’t be long before he’s walking!
Weekly Random Moments: Cooper is now officially a Polish citizen. Thanks to my parent’s hard work during their trip (as well as a few trips to the citizenship office by my mom’s cousin Ania in Warsaw) – Cooper got his official paperwork yesterday!
These are Cooper’s apple trees. Babcia and dziadek planted them in their yard in the spring. It will be fun to see how he grows along with them!
