Weight: 18 lbs 11 oz
Clothes: I think the 12 month clothes fit him the best. He still fits in the 9 month but it’s tight. He’s wearing some 18 and 24 month stuff.
Health: We got the yummy tasting iron drops (thank you sister and DH!) and they have been a life saver! Cooper takes them with no issues.
Sleep: He’s all over the map here. Some nights he gets up once, sometimes it’s 3 times – but most nights it’s twice. He usually has 2 naps during the day (one long morning one and one slightly shorter afternoon one) but there are days when he only wants to take 1 long nap in the middle of the day.
Crying: He’s been crying/protesting more when we take something away that he wants to play with – which is a great developmental milestone.
Social and Activity: Cooper spent all last week in day care so he got lots of playtime with his friends. Our neighbors came over on Friday night so Cooper and his girlfriend played outside together while the adults enjoyed some adult beverages. Saturday we went to Highlands Ranch Days and Cooper made some more animal friends. Sunday we took him to the mall so he could watch the water features. He loves water and was so excited he nearly jumped out of Kirk’s arms to try and get at the water and the fish.
Likes and Dislikes: Cooper loves water (loves watching rain, looking at rivers or waterfalls, or watching his tub fill up with water). He loves animals. He loves playing with phones and remotes. He also loves balloons. We go for walks every weekend to the grocery store and they give out free balloons for kids – he always loves it when we grab one for him.
He hates not being able to crawl.
Diet: This week we added in broccoli. It was mixed in with an apple puree – and Cooper really seemed to like it. He’s been doing great eating though – for lunch and dinner he usually has a serving of oatmeal, and 2 different servings of veggies. Sometimes we throw in a serving of meat instead of one of the veggies. And there are times when he still seems like he wants more so I give him some puffs or some fruit to practice eating by himself.
Baby Gear Love: These iron drops – they taste so good! Cooper takes them with no complaints.
Milestones: Houston – we have a tooth!! His first tooth finally broke through. I can’t get a really good picture of it yet because it’s only a few millimeters long – but it’s there 🙂
