Weight: 18 lbs 4 oz
Clothes: what size clothes he’s wearing
Health: Poor little guy. This week has been rough for Cooper. What I thought was a tooth last week turned out to be just a little white blister on his gums – it’s gone this week. But he’s still chewing on anything and everything – so I think the teeth are coming soon. He caught a little cold at day care (no surprise there) and has had a stuffy and runny nose for most of the weekend. So, of course, this meant more saline drops for him to help keep things as clear as possible. Then Tuesday he woke up with a fever of 101.5 F. All day he was just feeling so sick. Poor little guy – all he wanted to do was cuddle and be held. Luckily, when he woke up this morning the fever was almost gone and he seemed to be feeling much better!
Sleep: While I don’t think he’s waking up less in the middle of the night, I think he is having an easier time going down for his naps.
Crying: Cold + teething = unhappy Cooper. Hopefully next week will be better.
Social and Activity: This weekend I met some friends from college for a brunch. Cooper had fun hanging out with the ladies (such a ladies man he is). Then on Sunday we went to Hudson Gardens to check out the miniature train. He really liked watching the train go around the track.
I think Cooper is still really enjoying playing with all the other kids at day care. He is always so happy when I pick him up and is just full of smiles.
Likes and Dislikes: Likes playing outside, music, dancing, being silly, playing with remotes and phones. Dislikes going for rides in the car.
Diet: This week we added in cauliflower to Coop’s diet. He seemed to not hate it. His favorite food is still mangoes or peaches.
Milestones: SOOOOO close to crawling. I know I have said this for the past few weeks – but every day he improves a tiny little bit and is almost there. He can stay up on his hands and knees for a little bit and rocks back and forth. I’m excited for him to be mobile – even though I know it will mean more work for us with child proofing!
And Cooper turned 7 months old this week!
Weekly Random Moments: A sad week in our house. On Saturday morning I found out my grandma (my dad’s mom) passed away. I am so glad that I at least got to spend a little time with her a few summers ago when we visited Poland. My parents were going to Europe on vacation next week, but they had to bump up the trip a week so they could make the funeral. So for the next 4 weeks – I get to take Wednesday through Friday off and spend the day with Cooper! I think the first week will be a challenge for me though – since Kirk is also going to be out-of-town Thursday through Saturday. So 3 full days of just me on mom duty!
