Weight: 18 lbs 1 oz – no change since last week.
Clothes: Still in 9 or 12 month tops; 6-12 month bottoms; size 3 diapers
Health: Cooper’s rash on his face flared up this weekend. We switched his face wash, as recommended by his doctor. I also started washing his face multiple times during the day (and have had my mom and his daycare lady do it as well) and it seems to really help. The past couple days it almost isn’t visible.
Sleep: No real change. He naps 2 times a day – morning for about 1.5-2 hours and in the afternoon for about 1-1.5 hours. At night he still wakes up once to eat, but goes back to sleep easily. He did wake up in the middle of the night on Thursday and didn’t want to go back to sleep from 2am-4am. Kirk and I were exhausted at work on Friday. I think his teeth were really bothering him – poor little man!
Crying: Happy baby! He doesn’t really cry much anymore – just when he’s hungry or overly tired.
Social and Activity: He’s loving all the attention from the other kiddos (especially the two girls) at his day care. They just love him and are always trying to make him laugh.
Likes and Dislikes: Loves being outside, riding in his car, chewing on anything cold, drinking out of his own cup, splashing in the bath, and playing music.
He also loves watching the kids play at the park – especially when there is a baseball game going on! We usually head down to the park most days after work to play a little before bedtime.
Diet: This week we added in pears (he liked these), mangoes (loved these – I think he likes any fruit that is really juicy), and beef. Babcia made the beef mixed in with some apples to give it some extra flavor, and so far he seems to really like it. He definitely prefers his fruit over his veggies! I think he takes after his dad on that one.
Milestones: I think we might have the beginnings of a tooth! It’s in a really strange position (top right canine or incisor). Usually babies’ first teeth are the bottom middle teeth. But who knows what will actually come in.
Weekly Random Moments: So update on the day care situation. First of all, I’m really loving his current day care lady. She is so sweet and Cooper really loves her too. I am so excited we found her.
So let me refresh your memory about what happened to our original day care lady. Basically, she broke her arm and wouldn’t be able to watch Cooper. Well, we were at the grocery store on Friday, and we happen to run into her. Not really a surprise that we saw her there since she lives in the area and we have run into her before. But what was a surprise was that her arm was in no way injured. Basically, she lied to us about not being able to take care of Cooper. We didn’t confront her, but she did see us and kind of walked away sheepishly. Kirk and I were both so angry with her for lying to us – but we are also so relieved that Cooper isn’t going there. I guess there is a reason for everything!
