Weight: 15 lbs 8 oz. Pretty close to last week’s weight – but last weeks was at the doctor’s office instead of on our scale. So I’m attributing it to the differences in scales.
Clothes: In a few 3-6 month pants – but all his onesies and pajamas are 6 or 9 month.
Health: Poor Cooper has seasonal allergies just like his dad. His nose gets really stuffy when he’s outside. So we have been giving him saline drops like crazy! I should invest in stock in saline drops. He is getting better about taking his drops though – he only complains for a little bit right when he’s getting them (can you blame him? salt water going up your nose is a strange feeling) – but then he cheers right up. I think he realizes that the drops help him breathe better. I guess we could keep him inside more – but he just loves being outside more than anything!
Sleep: We are still struggling with this. He gets up at 2 am, and then at 5 am. He’ll usually go back to sleep for an hour or 45 minutes – before getting up for the day. Most days he naps very well – 2 shorter naps and 1 long nap (2.5 hours). But on Sunday he only wanted to take 3 35 minute naps!
Crying: Just when he’s hungry or tired.
Social and Activity: This week we have been taking Cooper over to babcia and dziadek’s house during the day. Previously babcia came over to our house each morning. I think the change of scenery is good for Cooper and it’s much easier on babcia! Here he is checking out his new crib.
Friday night Cooper went to his second Polish party. Considering it was so close to bedtime when he’s normally the most fussy, he did wonderfully!
Saturday we had a little take your son to work day and spent a few hours in the office – mostly working on Cooper’s Canadian citizenship application.
Likes and Dislikes: Loves being outside.
Loves bath time. He’s discovered most of his body parts (ears, feet, penis, etc) and is constantly grabbing them.
Diet: Still breastfeeding when he’s with me and bottle feeding what I pump when he’s at babcia’s house.
Baby Gear Love: The above mentioned saline drops! I think we are going through about a bottle a week.
Milestones: He’s grabbing at toys and can hold them for longer. His hand-eye coordination is improving too. It’s so hun to see him explore the world!
