This week we took a family vacation to Hawaii. I hadn’t been to Hawaii since I was 4, and Kirk had never been. So we thought it would be a perfect place to take our first family vacation. My parents, and Dom and DH joined us and it was a blast.
We visited Oahu, but decided against staying in the very touristy Honolulu. Instead, Kirk found an awesome place for us to stay in on the north shore.
View from our villa.
Here is the hotel at night.
We took walks on the beach.
This is the beach right at Turtle Bay.
And here is Sunset Beach.
Can you see me way out in the middle of the water?
We took walks around the hotel.
We laid out under the plumeria tree most days.
We ate shaved ice on the beach.
We visited some local fruit stands and Kirk made friends with a cute Hawaiian wahine.
We ate at the world famous North Shore shrimp trucks.
A not so great picture of a yummy meal.
We got a pineapple macadamia cheesecake from the famous Ted’s Bakery. Kirk started working the counter to make some extra cash for the vacation.
Some views from around the island.
We went into Hale’iwa for some shaved ice.
Cooper picked out a surf board in Hale’iwa.
We watched sunsets.

We had a great time.
