We are in Hawaii this week. I will do a separate post on our trip, but I wanted to give you some highlights of our week so far.
Weight: Don’t know exactly, since we don’t have the scale in Hawaii. But I’m guessing it’s about 14 lbs 10 oz.
Clothes: Still mostly in 3-6 month clothes, with a few 9 month onesies. He’s been wearing lots of beach gear this week – swim diapers, wet suits, sunglasses, and hats.
Health: Overall in great shape.
Sleep: The time zone changes have definitely been challenging for Cooper. He’s been waking up a little more than normal throughout the night. Sometimes he will put himself back to sleep and sometimes he needs to be nursed.
Crying: His nap schedule is thrown off a little because of traveling – so he’s been a little fussier
Social and Activity: We are on vacation in Hawaii – so Cooper is getting lots of time with babcia, dziadek, and auntie Dom and uncle DH – and of course mom and dad.
Likes and Dislikes: Likes the pool much better than the ocean. Likes looking at the palm trees, the waves, and the surfers. Overall, he really likes Hawaii.
Diet: No change – still breastfeeding with the bottles when I’m away.
Baby Gear Love: His super cool sunglasses.
Milestones: Cooper had so many firsts this week.
His first flight went awesome. We couldn’t have expected anything better. Having babcia and dziadek’s extra hands were a great help for Kirk and me. He had a long nap on the plane, and ate a few times, walked around the plane a bit, and actually cried very little. I hope the return trip goes as well.
He also had his first dip in the ocean. I don’t think he liked it very much. The waves kind of scared him and the water was colder than his bath water.
Cooper also went swimming in the pool for the first time. He liked it much better than the ocean. At first he was a little hesitant, but quickly got used to the water.
