Weight: 14 lbs 4 oz and 25 inches. He may be slightly longer – it’s hard to get him to stay still long enough to measure him.
Clothes: 3-6 month clothes and size 2 diapers. I got him a few 9 month short-sleeved onesies for the summer, and they fit him too.
Health: Still taking his Prevacid. On Saturday we noticed a rash in some of Cooper’s leg folds. We started putting some cream on it and it healed pretty quickly. I think it was caused by some moisture trapped in there after his bath so we have just been making sure to really dry in all of his adorable leg folds.
Sleep: He’s sleeping pretty much from 8:30-6:30, with one feeding sometime between 2:30-3:30. He does wake up randomly at other times during the night, but will usually just fuss for a few minutes and put himself right back to sleep.
Crying: Pretty much just when he’s getting put down for his naps, and if he’s overly hungry.
Social and Activity: Friday afternoon Kirk and I took the afternoon off and ran a bunch of errands with Cooper. We got new licence plates for Kirk’s truck at the DMV. No one likes to wait in the really long line at the DMV, but Cooper was so patient and hardly fussed the entire time.
We were planning on all going out for sushi dinner, but by the end of the day Cooper was starting to get a little tired of being out. So we just picked up our sushi to-go and had a nice meal after Cooper went to bed.
Saturday morning we went to get passport photos for Cooper. We don’t have any plans for international travel yet, but I’m sure a trip to Canada, Mexico, or Poland will be in our future next year!
Sunday we spent the afternoon at babcia and dziadek’s house again. Cooper really enjoyed playing with these wooden Easter eggs (Sunday was Russian Orthodox Easter so the Easter decorations are still up at my parents house). He kept moving them around on the plate.
Likes and Dislikes: He loves putting everything in his mouth these days. He’s exploring the world through taste!
He is starting to not hate the Bumbo chair. He still prefers to be held when sitting at the table.
And he’s still tolerating his tummy time. He doesn’t really like it, but will stand it for a few minutes before really complaining.
Diet: Still breastfeeding when I’m at home and taking bottles during the day when he’s with babcia. He loves holding the bottles himself! It’s still kind of heavy and he can’t really hold it at the proper angle to feed himself – but he loves helping hold it 🙂
Baby Gear Love: Super soft blankets – Cooper loves putting them up to his face and holding them. When I was shopping for baby stuff it amazed me how many things out there for babies aren’t super soft. Why would you make a bath towel that wasn’t super soft – who wants to dry off with something that feels like sandpaper?
Milestones: He’s getting better and better at sitting up without our support.
Weekly Random Moments: We are just getting ready for our trip to Hawaii. We leave on Saturday morning. We are nervous about the plane ride, but are so excited for the actual vacation! Packing for a vacation with a newborn is definitely a challenge! I think he probably has more things than we do.
