Weight: 12 lbs 10 oz.
Clothes: He’s wearing his 3-6 month clothes now and moved up to size 2 diapers this week.
Health: Cooper was perfectly healthy this week. He’s still taking his Prevacid and I still think it’s helping.
Sleep: Overall he’s doing well. We have a nice bedtime routine established and I think it’s helped him know that it’s time for bed. He has had very little trouble going down for the night. He has been waking up twice in the middle of the night (usually around 12am and 4am) instead of once around 2-3am. But he usually doesn’t have any trouble going back to sleep. I would like to get him back to waking up once a night though – especially since I’ll be starting back to work soon.
Crying: Soooo much better than before. He pretty much just cries when he’s hungry or tired. He’s still a very serious kid, though. I think he’s going to be a deep thinker instead of having a happy-go-lucky personality.
Social and Activity: This weekend was a big weekend for Cooper. On Saturday he went to the Polish church for the tradition blessing of the Easter baskets. He slept the whole time.
On Sunday, he attended his first Polish holiday party at babcia’s house! He did really well considering how many people were there. He walked around with us for a bit and was introduced to everyone. Then he played on his activity mat for a while. And then he played in the bassinet by himself for a while. After that, I think he was over-tired and over-stimulated and he couldn’t fall asleep after we left.
Doesn’t he look so handsome?
Likes and Dislikes: He loves being outside. Over the weekend, we had beautiful weather so we were able to spend a lot of time outside.
Diet: In preparation for my part-time return to work, Cooper has started taking some bottles of my milk. At first he hated it and wouldn’t take it at all. I honestly didn’t think we would have any trouble since he had no trouble with the bottle when he was on formula a few weeks ago, so this all came as quite a shock to me. I tried switching him to a higher flow nipple which helped a little bit. Then I tried switching brands (was using Avent – now we are trying Tommee Tippee) to see if a different shape helps. I think he’s slowly getting used to it. It’s definitely harder trying to get him to eat from the bottle than from the breast.
Baby Gear Love: Cooper got some new toys in his Easter basket – and has been loving playing with those. He especially likes this soft book.
Milestones: Cooper’s first major holiday! The Easter bunny visited him and gave him lots of fun new baby toys. He has also been vocalizing himself a lot more – he has plenty to say!
What is this thing?
