Cooper is 2 months old!
Weight: 11 lbs 15 oz.
Clothes: Most of his 0-3 month clothes are too tight and too short on him. I’ve started to put him in all his 3-6 month clothes.
Health: No real change. Cooper is still taking his medicine and I think it’s helping. I have noticed a lot more spit-up this week, though.
Sleep: Ugh. This week has been really hard. REALLY hard. He does one 4-5 hour stretch between about 9:30-1:30 – but then after that he has been waking up every hour. I feel like we have totally regressed. Or not even regressed because I don’t feel like he’s ever been as poor of a sleeper as he has been this week. We are going to have to do something about this because Kirk and I are exhausted.
Crying: No big change since last week – still has lots of fussy periods in the evening. But he is smiling more and more.
Social and Activity: Cooper’s Nana and Grandpie from Canada visited him this week. It was nice to be able to eat breakfast in one sitting rather than just taking random bites in between carrying and entertaining Cooper.
Likes and Dislikes: Still liking his activity mat. And still liking his bath time.
He also loves walking around outside – whether it’s around the block or just in our yard. We put him in the BOB stroller upright twice so he could look out on the world. One time it was a great success and he loved it – the other time he cried the whole time.
Diet: No change. Still only breastfeeding and still no dairy for me. I have also noticed that the past few days Cooper has been eating less and less. Maybe he’s getting more efficient or maybe he has a decrease in appetite.
Baby Gear Love: Cooper has discovered his mobile in his crib this week. He likes looking at it when he wakes up and I can turn it on and give myself a few extra minutes to put away some things in his room.
I also wore him in the Moby again a few times – but facing forward. I think this works much better than having him face me. He loves to look at the world and observe everything and facing me was just too boring for him. Here he is looking at himself in the mirror.
Milestones: Cooper had his first 2 meals out in restaurants this week – and he did wonderfully. The first time he was awake for about 20 minutes and just looked around and then fell asleep. The second time he slept through the whole thing.
