Has it really been a month since I updated this blog? WOW! I’m sorry!
Here are some quick updates on what’s been going on in our lives:
I’m 31 weeks pregnant (9 more weeks to go!!!!) and still feeling great. Other than some mild first trimester nausea, I think I’m having the easiest pregnancy ever. I can’t believe how quickly time is passing by. I feel like I have done a lot, but there is still so much to do. My baby shower is this Saturday, and I’m exciting for all my friends and family to get together to celebrate Baby Taylor!
I did the gestational diabetes glucose test. I have heard so many horror stories about how awful the drink is, but I drank mine chilled and it’s wasn’t bad at all! Just like orange soda. And I don’t have gestational diabetes so YAY!
I flew to Austin for business. It was a quick trip – I flew out on a Tuesday afternoon and was home the next night. I had some good Texas BBQ while I was there, but this definitely will be my last business trip. Lugging around even light luggage around the airport was too tiring for me and sitting on an airplane was even less comfortable than normal.
Kirk sold his supermoto bike. He’s not giving up riding, he just wants something different. Rather than having something he has to take up to the track an hour away just so he can enjoy, he’s going to get something he can use to run an errand or just go for a nice Sunday drive. I will be happy when he gets a toy that he actually uses.
We are slowly started putting together the nursery. The crib and changing table are put together. I got some storage boxes from Ikea to help organize diapers, wipes, and other changing table necessities. We got a beautiufl hand-me-down glider from some very lovely friends, and it fits perfectly in the nursery. We are picking up the dresser today. Once that gets put together, I can start washing his clothes and bedding and putting it all away. Our nursery doesn’t really have a “theme.” It’s just creams, beiges, chocolate browns with a couple pops of red. Hopefully after this weekend I’ll have some more things in the nursery and we able to update you with more pictures!
