So, May was a big month for us.
First of all, Kirk received notification that he passed his Professional Engineer’s exam – and is now an official P.E.! Congrats to him. He worked so hard and studied so much. I am so happy and proud of him. No more studying – YAY! Way to go Kirk!
And then we found out about Team Taylor member #3. It was quite a shock and we couldn’t be happier. For anyone who didn’t know, this had been something we had been trying for almost 3 years. Several tests told us that it wasn’t possible without some sort of help, but I was just dragging my feet getting that help. I don’t know if it was fear or whatever that was keeping me from seeking out that help. And after finally making the decision about which IVF doctor to go visit and putting some money aside for the whole process, it happened on its own.
I am about 13 and a half weeks right now, and officially in the second trimester. I am due in the beginning of January (the 11th is the official due date although babies don’t always listen to their due dates, do they?). I had a pretty good first trimester compared to what I know others have experienced. I was feeling tired and nauseous, but thankfully no throwing up. I felt like I was constantly eating to help keep the nausea away – small snacks throughout the day was the only thing that seemed to help. But slowly I am starting to feel better and better.
This is me at 5 weeks and again at 11 weeks.
And now we are in the midst of some renovations (I’ll do a separate post about that soon) to get some projects crossed off our list before Baby Taylor arrives!
