This weekend, Kirk and I went to see the B-17 that was in town. It’s been in town several times, but we have never gone out to tour it before. The B-17, known as The Flying Fortress, was used as a bomber during WWII. This specific plane, the Aluminum Overcast, was never a combat plane which is probably why it’s in such great shape today. It was really cool to be able to walk through it and see a part of history!
Someone used to actually sit in here during the flight! What a tiny space!!!
Kirk with some old surveying equipment – which surprisingly doesn’t look that much different than the stuff that we both learned to use.
