This weekend was filled with the usual – work (for Kirk), yard work (for me) all mixed in with a some fun times.
On Friday night we had dinner at a yummy restaurant near our hood – Ivy at the Glenn. We both had zero expectations and had heard nothing about it before we went, and were very impressed. Our food was absolutely delicious! Kirk had a Filet Oscar and I had the seared scallops – both were melted in your mouth and cooked to perfection! If you live near Southglenn, I would absolutely recommend trying it out. I think there is a nice patio so I’m sure we will be back during the summer!
Saturday night we headed out to celebrate a couple friend’s birthdays with dinner and some bowling. Even though I’m the worst bowler there is – we still had fun! Whoever thought of making an upscale bowling alley is a genius. Bowling is always fun (at least for 1.5 games – after that I check out!), but through in some cool lighting and decorations and all the sudden it’s a totally different ball game.
